| Hi Steven, I received the package of six lureleaders (thank you for your rapid delivery) last week and couldn't wait to use them. I haven't done any trolling with them yet. I did, however, try 1 of them in the Murrumbidgee River (southern New South Wales) on the weekend. My friend and I were bait fishing there and we had caught 6 yellowbelly (Golden Perch) in the early hours but the fish went off the bite at about 9 am. We had been fishing close to the edge early and they had moved into the deeper water once the temperature rose. We were having trouble keeping our baits "in the zone" with the current flow so I decided to steer it out to where I wanted it (around the snags in the deeper water) with the lureleader which worked like a float only much better by not drifting close to the edge. It took a bit of manipulation but once I had the right position with the tow line, it was simple to keep it exactly where I wanted it. I set the line release to a very light touch and it didn't take long for a strike. With the bait being right where the fish were, I was rewarded with a reasonable sized yellowbelly after about 10 mins using only worms as bait. This fish went back in the water (along with the rest) as I try to only practise catch and release. I was very impressed with the lureleader as it was very easy to use and the proof is in the pudding with the fish shown in the photo caught when conventional methods were failing. Thank you Steven and Lureleader. Best regards, Lindsay Flack. Australia |

| Hi
Steven, I received the box today. Thanks very much. I caught a 35lb (about 3 ft long) Murray Cod on Saturday on the leader trolling in my local lake. This is the biggest fish that I've ever caught in freshwater. I took 3 pictures of it with my camera but I don't know what went wrong but they didn't turn out. I was so cranky about that. It would've made a great picture on your site. The cod even had a fish in it's throat of about 1 1\2 lb of which I also photographed. I'll just have to try and catch her again as I let her go. It's closed season on cod till the 1st of dec. for breeding season and she had a belly full of eggs. Oh well, the memories will always be there. Maybe she'll be bigger if I get her again. Regards, Lindsay. |
